However, as we get new people from other parishes & churches there will be a need to provide a modern rite Mass.

So as an experiment I will celebrate a modern rite Mass on Saturdays in Lent at 6 pm. If enough people attend we will even have some music!

PARISH AGM
The parish annual meeting will be on Sunday, January 30^th. This will follow the 10 am High Mass, at which there will be no sermon. So it should start at 11:00 am. The annual reports & statements will be available the week before the meeting, to enable everyone to read, mark, learn and inwardly digest! 

This year, 4 significant members of vestry are retiring: our 2 Wardens, Judy Borchert & George Garrison, the Outreach Committee convenor, Jerry Kirtley, & By-laws chair, Barbara Rabun. I thank them for their personal support of me since I became Rector, and look forward to new persons being elected.

FEB 2^nd
The Wednesday after our AGM is my silver jubilee - the 25^th anniversary of my ordination to the priesthood. I can hardly believe it, and am very conscious of the many blessings I have received as a priest. My mind is going back to that hot Australian Saturday in 1980 when I was ordained in St Peter's Cathedral, Adelaide, and to the many friends there that day, as well as those who supported and prayed for me. Now here I am, Rector of All Saints' Church, San Diego, living and worshipping with different people, but conscious more than ever of God's hand & guidance over me.
