CHRISTMAS
Epiphany concludes Christmas - & what a magnificent Christmas we had! Once again it was a beautiful Midnight Mass - the music & choir excellent, lovely flowers & decorations and a packed church. Afterwards our Outreach & Functions Committees hosted an enjoyable reception in the Parish Hall. Attendances at the other Masses were also up on last year - but what overwhelmed me was the Christmas offering - double that of 2003!

CHRISTMAS CRECHE
A highlight of Christmas was the new Christmas Creche. It is a wonderful and worthy addition to our church. Now other parishioners want to contribute to it! Please see the note on page 6.

PROBLEMS
Christmas highlighted 2 problems we have. Firstly, there is a problem finding a parking space for Mass at All Saints'. Short of buying a multi-story parking station, we will have to just cope. I have coined the phrase: Park early & pray early!

To the parking problem has been added a new one - we need more tables for our social functions. Both of these are the result of growth - and it's a nice problem to have!

VIGIL MASS
Another demand arising from being a growing parish is the demand for a VIGIL MASS on Saturday nights. Over the past 12 months several people, have said they can not attend Sunday Mass & would value a Saturday night Vigil Mass. I have also had increased requests for a Rite 2 Mass. All Saints' will always use Rite 1 on Sundays, and the Daily Mass, with traditional anglocatholic variations.

FATHER TONY WRITES

My dear friends,

Happy New Year!

We began this new year of Our Lord 2005 with a wonderful celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany on Sunday, January 2nd. A full church enjoyed the special ceremonies and liturgy. During the Mass I once again blessed
Epiphany Chalk. Afterwards I went about distributing the blessed chalk on a silver tray - so much so that one parishioner said I looked like a cigarette lady! There was such a demand for the chalk that next year I intend to bless boxes of chalk & distribute pieces to everyone, complete with instructions to mark your doorways for Epiphany.

Afterwards over 80 parishioners enjoyed our own All Saints' Christmas lunch. These occasions are wonderful for fellowship, and welcoming new people into our parish. If you would like to help at future lunches please speak to Phyllis Dills.
