2007 BUDGET
At the dinner I spoke about the challenge of the 2007 budget. The finance committee has worked hard on the budget, and the Vestry has taken up 2 particular challenges.
+ We want to have a balanced budget, and are planning that our income will meet the expenditure. This places a responsibility on all of us to pledge generously.
+ We have increased the music budget to allow for 4 paid singers. Some people think a church choir should be unpaid. However, if we want the high standard of music we have been used to, we must be prepared to fund it. Our organist/choir director, Mr Robert MacLeod, writes about this on pages 11-12.

FLOWER GUILD
Another valuable and important part of our worship is the Flower Guild. the present convenor, Laura Shell wishes to step down at the end of the year. She has a busy year ahead - particularly with Teresa's wedding set for April 14th.

The job of convenor is not to always be doing the flowers, but to co-ordinate our wonderful & creative team, and organise the roster. Please speak to Laura or myself if you might be interested.

ARCHDEACON DAVID LOWMAN
It was a joy to have Fr David Lowman with us for our patronal festival. He spent 2 weeks with us, and I know it was a joy for him, too. Having the usual San Diego fantastic weather helped! As well as meeting parishioners
