My dear friends,
I cannot emphasize enough my thanks and gratitude to the parishioners, and all who read this magazine, for your prayers during my recent surgery and recuperation. The operation was successful, and all is going well.....although my doctor cautions me to be patient. It was only after the operation that I realized what major surgery it was! So I am grateful to the parishioners for being so supportive. I received more cards than I did for my birthday - to say nothing of food & other goodies.
Everyone has been surprised at my rapid recovery and how well I look. But why should anyone be surprised? Not only was I fortified by the sacraments, I was surrounded by so much prayer - from San Diego, to
